Both players were hurt during Saturday's 22-19 defeat to the All Blacks in Christchurch.

D'Arcy left the field during the game to injury - a scan has revealed he suffered a calf strain and will be unavailable for the final test.

The 32-year-old inside centre was recalled to the Irish side after Keith Earls was injured in the first test match.

He will return home while Ulster centre Paddy Wallace will be drafted in as cover.

Heaslip, Ireland's number eight in the first two tests, fractured his right index finger during the match at the AMI Stadium but played out the entire 80 minutes.

He is also ruled out for the next game, but with options available within the squad, no replacement has been called for.
