Ireland’s three time major winner Padraig Harrington is back into an automatic spot in Europe's Ryder Cup standings.
The Dubliner finished joint 16th at the Pebble Beach Pro - am in America moving him up to number nine in the world rankings right behind Northern Ireland golfer Rory McIlroy.
The top four on the world ranking list qualify for the side with the next five available from the European points list. Cup Captain Colin Montgomerie has three wild card picks while his American counterpart Corey Pavin has four.
Meanwhile Harrington and McIroy make up two of the top 10 seeds provided by Europe, at this weeks WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship after world number 1 Tiger Woods and world number 3, Phil Mickelson both decided not to play.
The draw sees Lee Westwood seeded second, Martin Kaymer fourth, Rory McIlroy fifth, last year's runner-up Paul Casey sixth, Henrik Stenson seventh, Padraig Harrington eighth and Ian Poulter ninth.
McIlroy will take on number 60 seed Kevin Na, Harrington has been handed a tougher test in Jeev Milkha Singh, while Graeme McDowell faces Luke Donald.
The first round starts on Wednesday.
