The Giants enjoyed a convincing win in Humberside, with Andrew Fournier scoring a goal in the first period followed by another two goals three minutes apart in the second period.
Sam Roberts was the next to score at 36.47 and just before the end of the period Noah Clarke scored at 39.46.
It looked like the hosts would endure a goalless finish until Tom Squires pulled one back with a strike at 46.57.
The Giants will face the Stingrays again in a home game on 29 December.
