Ten players including captain Adam Keefe and Craig Peacock got their names on the score sheet during an emphatic victory in Germany on Friday, while Noah Clarke netted twice.

The Elite League champions were 5-0 up inside the first period before adding another three when play resumed.

Geleen got a consolation goal in the third period to make it 9-1, but Gareth Roberts and David Phillips hammered in two more for the Giants to take their total into double figures.

The second round of the Continental Cup is held between 19-21 October, with the Group B games to be played in Landshut in Germany.

The Belfast Giants are joined in Group B by first opponents Geleen, Germany's Landshut Cannibals and Romanian side HSC Csíkszereda.
