The win means the Giants won the tie 7-3 on aggregate after a comprehensive 4-1 win in the first leg away to Hull.
Hull started off the brighter of the two sides going 2-0 up in the game to unsettle the host's nerves on Sunday, and Belfast had to come from behind to win on the night.
It was a strike from leading points scorer Colin Shields which helped get the Giants back on track.
In the final period Kevin Saurette tied the scores before Darryl Lloyd wrapped the game up to send the Odyssey into raptures.
Meanwhile three second-period goals from Jordan Fulton, Tim Hartung and Jamie Wilson set Fife on their way to a 4-1 win over Dundee Stars, completing an 8-1 aggregate win.
Belfast will take on Fife in the first semi-final at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham next Saturday afternoon.
