The Belfast Giants will be missing James Hutchinson for another weekend as they prepare for their double-header of games against Coventry Blaze.

The Giants play their Elite League rivals on Friday evening at 7:30, before meeting again on Saturday.

The Odyssey Arena side will also be without Benoit Doucet who is out for the season - he will have surgery on Friday for his damaged knee ligaments.

Speaking about the injury situation, coach Doug Christiansen said:

"Hutchinson is showing progress. He will miss the weekend but he might be back this month.

"The medical staff will evaluate him on Friday and give an updated diagnosis."
