The Giants are currently seven points clear at the top of the table from the Panthers.
Coach Doug Christiansen has been delighted with the recent form of the side.
"The two Coventry wins were massive for us," he said.
"The Blaze are a very good team with quality throughout their roster.
"They pushed us to the brink both nights and I know that Paul Thompson would love to have taken points from us. Both games were settled in the 3rd period and our team found a way to win."
He added however despite their recent purple patch, the Odyssey Arena side cannot take this weekend's games for granted.
"This weekend we face two desperate hockey teams," he said speaking on the club's website.
"The Capitals have an excellent first line and a tremendous player in Rene Jarolin.
"Jarolin is a fantastic offensive player. We will need to be physical against him all night. The Capitals are looking to cement a play-off birth and need all the points they can get.
"On Saturday, we face our rival the Nottingham Panthers. The Panthers have advanced to the Challenge Cup Final and are a team we play 4 more times.
"They have great skill and a great goaltender. It will be a colossal match-up. I am looking forward to another great weekend of hockey at the Odyssey Arena."
