    Interview: Doug Christiansen

With Sheffield losing on back to back nights at the hands of the Nottingham Panthers, the Giants looked to pick up where they left off on Monday night with a 7-2 victory over the Braehead Clan in Glasgow.

This time however an impressive goaltending performance from Jaakko Suomalainen and two goals from former Giant Mike Bayrack denied the Giants their 5th consecutive win and a chance to distance themselves at the top of the Elite League standings.

Doug Christiansen, the Belfast Giants' head coach, said the team had to bounce back from the defeat, adding that they didn't "have any choice."

He said: "We didn't show up the first period which gave them [Braehead Clan] a goal lead and then, of course, they got the penalty shot goal to put us down.

"I thought we threw a lot at them in the latter part of the game, but sometimes that happens."
