The visitors got off to a commanding start with goals from Stuart MacRae and Jon Pelle and from the early stages the Giants were chasing the game.

Cardiff retired to the dressing room at the end of the first period with a 2 goal advantage and started the 2nd period with a powerplay opportunity.

Only 44 seconds after the restart Pelle netted his second and the Devils 3rd and it looked all but over for the Giants.

In the 3rd period Giants man of the match Mike Bayrack netted on the powerplay, but as the home team piled on the pressure to try and get back into the game the Devils netted their 4th through Scott Matzka to round off the scoring and secure the 2 points.

Second placed Cardiff are now just three points behind the Giants with four games in hand.
