The hosts won 5-4 at the Odyssey Arena on Saturday night to complete an 8-5 victory on aggregate.

Giants scored four times in the opening period with goals from Greg Stewart, Noah Clarke and two from Kevin Saurette, but it took a late winner from Craig Peacock to seal victory.

The game also gave the Belfast side two Elite League points - they are now four points behind leaders Nottingham Panthers, who returned to winning ways on Saturday with an 8-1 demolition of Dundee.
