    Interview: Doug Christiansen

It took until just three minutes before the end of the third period for Craig Peacock to net the goal that looked set to win the game - though right at the death, Mark Garside was to add the icing on the cake.

His shot into an empty net left the visitors 6-4 down and ruing their missed opportunity to both capitalise on league points and boost their Challenge Cup standings.

Instead, it fell to the Giants to head into the Cup's semi-finals top of the Group A table - and keep their spot as Elite League leaders.

The result comes after a run of good form for Doug Christiansen's side, which they'll be hoping to keep up as the season continues.
