The home side went three nil up with goals from Shane Johnson, Craig Peacock and Michael Jacobsen.
It looked to be all sewn up for the Giants but the visitors replied with three unanswered goals from Wes Jarvis, Matt Miller and Brad Voth.
The Giants were soon back in front thanks to Pat Bateman, who edged them ahead at the end of the second period, with Colin Shields the man on target to ensure a home win for the Odyssey side.
The Giants are now third in the Elite league, three points behind leaders Nottingham.
