Belfast Giants won at home against Coventry Blaze, securing a crucial victory on Saturday night.

They came from 3-0 down to beat the visitors 4-3 on penalty shots at the Odyssey Arena.

Derek Campbell put the Blaze 1-0 up on his debut for the club and further goals from Brad Leeb and Steven Chalmers had Coventry in control early in the second period.

But the Giants rallied and goals from Mark Garside, Greg Stewart and Kevin Saurette tied the game.

Neither side could find a winner in overtime and Robby Sandrock sealed the extra points in the shootout for Belfast.
