The game started well for the visitors as Adam Keefe opened the scoring seven minutes in.

Giants finished the first period 1-0 up but it wasn't long before Bruce Graham netted an equaliser for the Panthers, with David Ling, Eric Werner and Brandon Benedict following up to make it 4-1 as Nottingham went on the rampage.

The home side picked up where they left off in the third period - Jason Beckett and Matthew Myers added goals to complete a 6-1 victory.

Belfast Giants are back in action on Monday as they face Hull in the Challenge Cup quarter-final.
