The Giants qualified for the competition thanks to clinching the Elite League title for the fourth time overall and second time in three years in February and just as in their last appearance in 2012, they will travel to Germany.
The Giants, with Steve Thornton present at Saturday's draw in Budapest, Hungary at the headquarters of the International Ice-Hockey Federation (IIHF) were drawn into Group B on 17-19 October along with hosts Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven, Tilburg Trappers of the Netherlands as well as the Winner of Group A - consisting of hosts CSKA Sofia (BUL), CG Puigcerda (ESP), Beostar Belgrade (SRB) & Izmir BJBSK (TUR) which takes place on 26-28 September.
Should the Giants win Group B, they will advance to the semi-final stage on 21-23 November in Ritten, Italy with the Continental Cup super-final hosted on 9-11 January in a venue to be determined.
The Giants last competed in the Continental Cup in 2012, finishing second in a group behind hosts, the Landshut Cannibals despite victories over HSC Csikszerada of Romania and Eaters Geleen of the Netherlands.
