GAA hero McConville retires

Legendary GAA footballer Oisin McConville has announced his retirement from the game.

The Crossmaglen Rangers forward has announced that the defeat against St Brigid's of Roscommon on 16 February was his last for the Armagh side.

McConville enjoyed a glittering career winning six All-Ireland titles with Cross and lifted the Sam Maguire with Armagh in 2002.

He told UTV: "I had been thinking about it for a couple of years and felt that now the time was right."
