Deniset played for the Giants in the 2008/09 season, scoring 38 goals and 48 assists for 86 points in 51 games played.
Deniset led the team to two titles - the Challenge Cup and the British Knock Out Cup that season before moving to Denmark with Aalborg Hockey Club.
Last season he starred for Amiens in the top French League.
General Manager Todd Kelman is pleased to get Deniset back in Belfast.
"We are very pleased to get Paul back in Belfast for the rest of the season. He is going to fit in well with this team. He was one of the top players in the Elite League when he was here before and was part of 2 championships in Belfast.
"Our guys have stepped up in a big way this season, particularly as of late when we have been playing short staffed. Deniset is coming into a very good team with a group of guys that want to win a championship together. I know Paul very well and I know he will fit in perfectly with this group of guys, which is vital when you bring in someone new halfway through the season."
The comeback comes as Nottingham Panthers is closing in on the Elite League leaders at the top of the table.
The east midlands outfit enjoyed a commanding 4-1 win away to the Cardiff Devils in Wales on Sunday night to move within three points of the Northern Irish side.
The Giants and Blaze face off at 7.30pm on Friday and 7pm on Saturday Night.
