It remains uncertain whether Ferris will be fit in time for Friday night's game.
The flanker is still receiving treatment for the back injury that ruled him out of last week's bonus point win over Castres at Ravenhill.
Ulster are hoping for the best though and Ferris has taken part in some light training, although he wasn't present at Tuesday afternoon's main session.
"He's a world class player so, just like any team, you want your best players on the park," their coach said.
"We've got a big game against Glasgow at their home turf so, for us to do the job, we need our best players available to us."
A decision on Ferris's availability is expected to be made on Wednesday morning.
