The Irish Football Association is to review ticketing arrangements and possibly the venue for this month's Irn Bru League cup final between Coleraine and Crusaders.

Coleraine have already sold their allocation of 1,750 tickets and Crusaders have very few tickets left from their total of 1,300.

The decider is scheduled to be played at Ballymena Showgrounds on Saturday 28 January and the Irish FA is considering the possibility of installing extra seats.

"That is the preferred option and we are currently in consultation with the PSNI and Ballymena Borough Council," an IFA spokesman told UTV.

But the governing body has not ruled out switching the game to Windsor Park.

Both clubs agreed to the play the match at the Showgrounds but health and safety considerations and security procedures have restricted the capacity there.

Another sign that H&S is wrecking the game. Both stands at Warden Street hold more than is being allocated to both sets of supporters. Both stands are very new and incident free, why can't they be packed out? Surely safer sitting fans in purpose built permanent seating than drafting in a glorified meccano set and setting that up. Good to see a healthy crowd for a final but such a shame these 'final fans' don't show up every week.
