Martin McAleer scored the first goal for the Monoghan side in the opening minutes and set their stall early as they opened a comfortable four point lead going into the break.
St Teresa's responded well in the second half as they closed the gap to just a single point with two free's from Rory Galagher.
The Antrim side couldn't get any closer and as they pressed for more scores a defensive mistake allowed Gavin McKernan to sneak in and fist the ball into the back of the net to put the Emyvale out of reach.
They now face the British Champions Edinburgh on 10 January in Newry.
