Down and Antrim lose camogie finals

There was was All-Ireland disappointment for the Down and Antrim camogie teams as both counties lost their respective finals at Croke Park on Sunday.

Down, who were aiming for their first All-Ireland crown since 1991, but found themselves 11 points down early in the second half of their Junior decider against Waterford.

The Mourne ladies rallied with eight unanswered scores, and were just a point behind going into injury time.

However Waterford weathered the late storm and held on to take victory by 2-11 to 1-13.

In the intermediate showpiece between Antrim and Wexford, Saffrons All-star Jane Adams hit 13 of their 15 points, but it was not enough as Wexford claimed a 2-12 to 0-15 victory.
