The Larne man started from pole after an impressive qualifying round at the Italian circuit on Saturday and led from the start in both races, finishing more than four seconds ahead of second-placed Welshman Chaz Davies in each.
It was the third consecutive success for the Honda rider, who also claimed a race win at the previous round of racing in Assen.
The double victory saw him move clear of reigning Champion Tom Sykes at the top of the World Championship standings, with Rea currently sitting on 139 points and the Englishman on 135.
Fellow Northern Irishman Eugene Laverty enjoyed less success on the track on Sunday, with the Suzuki rider finishing seventh in race 1 and ninth in Race 2 to leave him eighth in the overall standings.
The next round of World Superbike racing will take place at Donington racetrack in England on 25 May.
