The winners of the tie will face those of another appealing draw - Down against Derry.
Cavan will face Armagh in the preliminaries, with the successful team there set to meet Fermanagh.
Antrim's footballers will tackle Monaghan in the other first round tie, while the Saffron county's hurling team will challenge Westmeath in the Leinster SHC preliminary round, with Laois awaiting the winners.
The bottom half of the draw looks difficult to call with Armagh, Cavan, Fermanagh, Antrim and Monaghan all set to be strongly tipped for a final place.
