Bottom club Lisburn Distillery fully merited their 3-1 success at the Showgrounds on Saturday as they recorded only their second win in ten games - both of which have come against the Bannsiders.
Coleraine 1 - 3 Lisburn Distillery
Tommy Wright's men created a string of chances and ran out comfortable winners as Coleraine dropped more home points after their midweek draw against Institute.
It took the visitors just four minutes to get their noses in front. Glenn Ferguson took advantage of a slip by Kyle McVey to play the ball wide to Mark Cooling. He cleverly rolled the ball forward to Gavin Melaugh who swept a left foot shot past Davy O'Hare.
Coleraine threatened through Stephen Lowry whose long range shot was saved by Philip Matthews and then the keeper saved from Sammy Morrow after Andy Kilmartin had headed a McVey effort off the line.
The pressure eventually paid off on 14 minutes when Coleraine drew level. Lowry floated a corner into the box and Darren Boyce powered a header past the stranded Matthews for his 17th goal of the season.
Both teams had openings as the game flowed from end to end. Ferguson headed narrowly wide from a Kilmartin corner and then new international Rory Patterson volleyed past the far post.
The Whites finished the first half on top and were unfortunate not to go in at the break in front.
O'Hare palmed away a Paul Muir free-kick, Kilmartin should have done better with a close range header and then O'Hare came to the rescue again to deny the impressive Neal Gawley from close range.
Distillery continued where they left off after the interval and as the half wore on Coleraine posed less and less of a threat.
The basement battlers deservedly regained their lead on 57 minutes with a real cracker from Gawley. He latched onto Ferguson's nod down and fired a half volley from outside the box beyond O'Hare. It was a super strike, matched by his spectacular acrobatic celebration.
The points were made safe as debutant John Curran handed his new club a morale boosting victory on 66 minutes.
Coleraine's defence, hesitant all afternoon, failed to deal with Kilmartin's corner and Curran planted a header into the roof of the net.
