Dundela are the overwhelming favourites having won the competition nine times.

The east Belfast side were only just knocked off top spot in Championship 1at the weekend by Bangor and they're no stranger to a Christmas Day final at Seaview.

Manger Mark Snodden said: "To be honest going over the years I've been involved it's probably a disadvantage to be honest.

"I think this is eight finals I've been in and I would say at least seven of them we've been favourites and we've lost four so we'll not be taking anything for granted."

However Immaculata are an amateur league side who continually punch above their weight in major competitions.

They've overcome superior opposition in the Irish Cup and were beaten semi-finalists in the Steel and Sons last year.

This year they caused a shock in the last four by beating Ballyclare Comrades.

Manager Kevin Lawlor said: "To come from where we are to play in the Steel and Sons Cup final on Christmas Day and to win it and bring it back to west Belfast would be fantastic.

"Not only for the club, but the community as well. Most of the community will be there at Seaview on Christmas Day anyway. There'll be no turkeys bought on the Falls Road!"

Kick off time at Seaview is 10.45am on 25 December.

It's a two-horse race now, but one even the most-seasoned pundit would be brave to call.
