The fixture is slated for 7 June at the Aviva Stadium, a joint announcement by the Football Association of Ireland and the Football Association said on Tuesday afternoon.

It will be the first time England have played in Dublin since the friendly in 1995 which had to abandoned after 27 minutes amid crowd trouble.

The game will take place ahead of the Republic's Euro 2016 qualifier against Scotland on 13 June and a week before England face Slovenia in their qualifier.
