Henderson has signed a pre-contract agreement with champions Linfield and said on Twitter that he "can't wait to put the jersey on".
The midfielder will join David Jeffrey's side on a two-year deal, after turning down the chance to sign for several other Premiership clubs.
"I'm absolutely delighted to announce the signing of Ryan Henderson on a pre-contract basis. He will join us on a two year contract at the end of the season," Jeffrey told linfieldfc.com.
"We've had Ryan watched regularly throughout the season and he comes highly recommended to us by our scout Noel Bailie.
"Ryan has also been watched by Bryan McLoughlin, Alfie Wylie and myself. He is very well known to Alfie as he played for Alfie as a U12 and U13 player.
"He comes highly recommended not just as the right type of player but as the right type of person with the right type of attitude.
"He is a goal scoring midfielder who will add something extra to the squad for next season," added Jeffrey.
Meanwhile DC club colleague McAlorum is also leaving Stephen Small's side.
In a statement, a Glentoran spokesperson said: "The club are pleased to confirm the signing of Donegal Celtic midfielder, Stephen McAlorum on a two-year pre-contract agreement."
