Glentoran striker Gary Hamilton has claimed that Crusaders new 4G pitch is not safe to play on, after he suffered an injured ankle on the surface during Saturday's Carling Premiership 1-1 draw.
"I went over on my ankle as my foot stuck in the grass.
"The damage wouldn't have been as severe on an ordinary pitch," Hamilton told the Belfast Telegraph.
Hamilton added: "It clearly was not ready and it was quite dangerous."
Crues director Mark Langhammer said the injuries inflicted to Hamilton and Daryl Fordyce were caused by tackles.
The new pitch at Seaview was officially unveiled before the clash on Saturday.
The new synthetic surface cost around £250,000 and is part of the club upgrading programme.
