Coleraine 6 - 0 Nortel
Amateur League 1a outfit Nortel put up a brave effort and enjoyed a couple of decent moments but ultimately the gulf in class told.
The Bannsiders, already through to the final of the CIS Cup, will be delighted with the quarter-final draw after being handed home advantage.
Gareth Tommins sent them on their way with the opener after 16 minutes when he tapped home after 'keeper James Miller had spilled Aaron Canning's cross.
Gareth Harkin and Rory Patterson had chances while at the other end Mark Wilkinson wasn't far away after a fine run and shot.
David Platt's men added a second goal on 31 minutes. Harkin passed to Stephen Dooley who cut inside his marker and struck a left foot shot into the bottom corner of the net.
Any chance of getting back into the contest ended just four minutes into the second half when striker Patterson grabbed his 29th goal of the season.
Tiring
He was played onside and latched onto Michael Hegarty's crossfield pass before slotting home.
With Nortel tiring, Coleraine stepped up the pressure and only a brilliant save by Miller - he tipped Dale Fenner's header onto the crossbar - prevented an own goal.
Coleraine began to exploit gaps at the back and goal number four arrived on 65 minutes when Jody Tolan beat the offside trap to collect Canning's pass and fire past the exposed Miller.
Substitute Richard Gibson hit the post when he should have scored on 81 minutes but fellow sub John Watt showed how it should be done when he was sent clear by Patterson five minutes from time and made no mistake.
It was left to Tolan to round the scoring off three minutes from time when he grabbed his second goal of the afternoon with a neat near post finish from Patterson's free-kick.
