Cliftonville moved up to third place in the Carling Premiership and celebrated their 130th anniversary in style after a convincing win over Linfield on Monday night.

Ronan Scannell opened the scoring after 40 minutes, latching onto a through ball before firing into the Linfield net.

His brother Chris Scannell increased their lead six minutes into the second half with a superb shot from just inside the Blues penalty box.

Linfield's Mark McAllister was sent off for after a two-footed challenge.

Cliftonville pressed home their advantage with George McMullan firing in their third goal in the 83rd minute.

In injury time McMullan grabbed his second goal, firing in a penalty to complete a victorious night for the Reds.
