European Ryder Cup vice Captain Darren Clarke watched two of his European teammates dominate the Omega Masters at Crans-sur-Sierre in Switzerland.
Clarke carded a closing round of 70 to end the week on -9, leaving him 12 shots behind eventual winner Miguel Angle Jimenez of Spain.
The Spaniard won by three shots from teammate Eduardo Molinari to claim his third European tour title of the season.
Clarke stated his fourth round at -8 and picked up just a single birdie on the front nine.
That was undone at the tenth hole as he dropped a shot at the par four, before a birdie three at the par four 12th.
Another birdie at the 14th took him to ten under for a brief time but a bogey at the par three 16th hole would see him end the week at 9 under in a tie for fifteenth place.
Meanwhile fellow countryman Rory McIlroy fared slightly better on day three of the Deutche Bank Championship in Boston, following a poor second round.
The Holywood man started with two pars before a birdie at the third hole of the FedEx Cup playoff event.
Pars would follow at holes 4,5 and 6 with another shot gained on the par five seventh.
Having made the turn in two under he continued his run of par golf before dropping a shot at the 13th.
Two more birdies would follow in the next three holes, but McIlroy gave one back to the course at the 17th and carded a par at the long par five 18th, to end the day at four under.
