Northern Ireland golfer Darren Clarke finished in a tie for eighth spot at the Avantha Masters in India despite an eagle at the closing hole.
The Dungannon man carded a final round of 71 to end the week in New Delhi at 10 under par four shots adrift of eventual winner Andrew Dott of Australia.
Clarke started his round in the ideal way with a birdie at his opening hole before picking up another shot at the fourth. He would drop a shot at the ninth to take the turn in one under for the day.
Any thoughts of a late run on the back nine following a birdie at the 12 were soon undone a terrible run of three bogeys in four holes took him to 1 over playing the last.
The Ulsterman can take something positive from the week as a closing eagle would ensure another top ten finish.
Fellow countryman Gareth Maybin endured a difficult day on the links making the turn in 1 over are before dropping two more shots with a double bogey at the tenth.
He would drop a further two shots on the way home ending the day on 5 over and 2 under for the week well down the leader board in a tie for 44th place.
