Brunt will remain with the Baggies until at least 2012, although the club are holding the option of an extra year.

Brunt was top scorer and player of the year last season at The Hawthorns.

The 24-year-old told the club website: "It's nice to be rewarded for the progress I have made here and I'm delighted to have signed a new contract.

"I've enjoyed my time here. It's great for my career and I feel it's been relatively successful.

"Winning the title (the Championship in 2007/08) was a terrific experience and although last season ended in relegation, on a personal level, I still enjoyed my first season in the Premier League.

"The fans have made me feel very welcome from day one and I'm looking forward to making further progress this season and hopefully getting back up.

"We've made a good start and I'm really enjoying working under the new coaching staff."

West Brom have had a flying start to the season picking up five wins and one draw so far.

They are currently fourth in the Coca-Cola Football League Championship.
