At the age of just 18, Dempsey Andrews has set up what is believed to be the first ice skating academy in the region, to help the stars of the future.
It has been Dempsey's life-long dream to inspire the next generation of young athletes and now that's just what she is doing at Dundonald Ice Bowl.
She said: "I have been competing for so many years and I have been in professional shows and stuff and I thought it was time to give something back to the sport and to start to coaching and it is everything I have ever dreamed off - just setting up my own ice skating academy."
Dempsey was a 2012 Olympics ambassador and she's got high hopes that her students could one day compete in the Games.
She continued: "I want to keep on pushing them and keep on practicing, getting them up to competitions like I did and reach the highest that they can."
Dempsey told UTV that it is hugely rewarding teaching the sport she herself has been so passionate about for over 14 years.
"Hopefully, you will see my skaters at the Olympics one day - that's what I want to see. I want them to enjoy their skating and enjoy everything they do and to have fun and to get the achievements I got out of ice skating as well."
