Celtic fined over Reds fireworks

Celtic have been fined €5,000 by UEFA after fans lit fireworks during their Champions League qualifier against Cliftonville.

The club admitted that three fireworks exploded during their 2-0 win (Agg: 5-0) over the Irish champions at Parkhead on 23 July.
Celtic were found guilty of breaching article 16.2 of UEFA's regulations.
A statement on the governing body's website confirmed: "Celtic FC have been fined €5,000 after a charge of improper conduct of supporters (setting off of fireworks) in their second qualifying match at home to Cliftonville FC on 23 July 2013."
The Hoops went on to beat Elfsborg and Shakhter Karagandy to book their place in the group stages, where they have been drawn with Barcelona, Ajax and AC Milan.
