The 36-year-old battled Jaime Barboza in Costa Rica on Saturday night, and arrived back in Belfast on Tuesday evening.
It was the 35th win out of 40 fights in Magee's boxing career, and he had double the cause for celebration.
While Magee was preparing for the fight, his wife Catherine gave birth to the couple's second daughter Darcy.
"It was tough," said Magee, describing how he had to wait to see his newborn child.
"I thought she was beautiful in the pictures, but she's even more beautiful in real life. I've two new babies now - the belt and my daughter."
"I'm spoiled. Hopefully there's a few other titles coming.
"All my things are coming good now, my hard work is paying off. It's nice to start to get the rewards for all my hard work and dedication over the years so fingers crossed it goes on for a bit longer.
It was a tough fight, but Magee said the ten days spent training in Panama really paid off.
"What I went through in Panama really stood for me, mentally.
"I didn't have that worry of being in the heat and training because it was so hard in Panama that when I got to Costa Rica it was a few degrees cooler and it all I had to worry about was the boxing."
The former Super Middleweight Champion added that after the fight, he was really looking forward for some time off.
"It's been a hard 18 months everybody sees the night you fight, but it's been a lot of hard work. Of all the fights I've had in my career, this is one where I thought I need a wee break after.
"I'm chuffed to bits, it hasn't sunk in either. I just want to let my hair down and come to terms with things.
But co-manager Pat Magee had other ideas.
"Brian will defend this title in November and then fight the winner of whoever comes out of the fight on 26 August.
"He's in prime position now, he can do a fight whenever he likes."
