The Ospreys player previously played for the province for five years up until 2008 before joining the Welsh team.

The 27-year-old could join Roger Wilson, the Northampton Number 8, who has already confirmed that he is set to come home to Ravenhill for next season.

The news that Bowe would join the Ulster set up again will be seen as some good news to counteract the negativity surrounding the demotion of senior coach Brian McLaughlin.

On Tuesday it was confirmed that McLaughlin will take over at the Ulster Academy development squad from next season after his three seasons as coach.
