The Belfast player, who opened the scoring for the visitors just about 12 minutes in, had to be helped off the ice in the wake of the incident.
Peacock had sent Bobby Chaumont over the boards, but ended up coming off worse.
After the game, he tweeted a picture which revealed a deep gash above his lip and also a second showing off his 29 stitches.
But back in the thick of the action, the Giants one-goal advantage had lasted less than a minute before Casey Haines equalised for the Flyers and left things all square at the end of the first period.
Unfortunately for the visitors, they were unable to produce any more goals.
Fife, on the other hand, netted three more times - all courtesy of Jason Pitton.
The Giants had travelled to Scotland short-staffed, missing the services of both leading point scorer Andrew Fournier and Rob Sandrock through injury.
"Rob Sandrock and Andrew Fournier are massive parts of our team," Giants head coach Doug Christiansen said, ahead of Saturday night's game.
"Fournier leads our team in plus/minus and has been one of our most consistent players. Sandrock is getting better and might play before Christmas."
The Belfast Giants are next in action away to Edinburgh Capitals on Sunday, in an Elite League/Challenge Cup double-header. Face-off is at 6pm.
