The Coventry Blaze pulled clear at the top of the Elite League by beating the Belfast Giants 5-4 on Sunday after overtime in a battle for first place.

The result leaves Coventry with 38 points, while Belfast drop back to third on 36, level with the Nottingham Panthers, who lost 5-4 to the struggling Hull Stingrays.
All three teams at the bottom won as the Sheffield Steelers beat the Cardiff Devils 3-2 and the Edinburgh Capitals downed the Newcastle Vipers 3-2.
