The local side is currently sitting top of the league and have already beaten the Panthers in two out of three meetings.
The Giants are five points ahead of their rivals but losing Friday's match at the Odyssey could see that gap close to just three points.
Coach Doug Christiansen said they are looking forward to the return of Scott Champagne on Friday, he has previously been out on injury.
"He'll be back in the line-up tomorrow night and it's a matter of us to trying to find how much he can play, what his game fitness will be, but I know he's excited to get back against his old club and he's had success so far against him," he told UTV Sport.
And although the Giants will be hoping to impress against the Panthers, fans will no doubt remember their Christmassy performance during last year's festive season.
Sadly, it looks unlikely they will be following up their rendition of All I Want for Christmas this year.
