Andy Smith gets six match ban
Ballymena striker Andy Smith has been given a six match ban after being charged with trying to headbutt a Newry City player.

The striker was reported by referee Keith Halliday earlier this month during the game with Newry City following a clash with Darren King.

The ruling will see him miss out on the JJB Sports Irish Cup tie against Ards.

He will be out of action until late January due to the mandatory punishment.

The former Northern Ireland forward will also face an internal disciplinary from club manager Roy Walker.
