Ballinderry, Burren, Cross win SFCs

There were no surprises in the weekend's county finals, with Ballinderry, Burren and All-Ireland Champions Crossmaglen all progressing to the Ulster Championship series.

Ballinderry were comfortable winners over Kilrea in the Derry Senior Football Final on Sunday, ending their hopes of a first county title with a 2-5 to 0-6 win.

In Armagh, Cross also had a handsome win over Ballymacnab Round Towers, securing victory by 2-22 to 0-3 to claim their 39th Armagh senior title.

On Saturday night Burren retained the Down Senior Football crown with a 2-14 to 2-3 win over Clonduff.

Elsewhere on Sunday Donegal Champions Glenswilly beat Cavan Gaels by 1-8 to 0-10 in the preliminary round of the Ulster Championship.
