A decision is to be made on Thursday night as to whether clubs in Armagh want Paul Grimley as the new county manager.

If the clubs back Grimley, who has been serving as Paddy O'Rourke's assistant, his position could be ratified within days.

Grimley also assisted Joe Kernan to lead the side to an All-Ireland title in 2002.

But he departed in 2006, for backroom stints with Cavan, Kildare, Monaghan and Meath.
