Antrim are out of the All-Ireland series after suffering a two point defeat to Tipperary in their third round qualifier on Saturday.

The Saffrons had claimed a major scalp in the previous round when they defeated Galway to progress to round three, but suffered a setback midweek when captain Aodhan Gallagher pulled out of the squad due to "personal reasons".

In what was a low-scoring contest, the Premier County led by 0-6 to 0-4 at half time, and could have been left to rue eleven wides in the second half as Antrim drew level on three separate occasions.

Ultimately though, Peter Creedon's side were able to see out the contest to seal a 0-10 to 0-8 victory and set up a fourth round meeting with the losers of Sunday's Ulster final between Down and Donegal.
