Antrim take Ladies All-Ireland title
Antrim were crowned TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Junior Football champions at Croke Park on Sunday.

The Saffrons emerged five-point winners against Limerick to secure a place in the 2010 intermediate championship.

Full-forward Claire Timoney had an impressive first half for Antrim, collecting 1-3 as the winners established a 2-06 to 1-04 interval lead.

A game with many goal chances Antrim were more forceful with the possession that came their way in attack.

Limerick opened the second half with a superb solo goal from Louise Higgins to haul the Shannonsiders back into contention.

Antrim, appearing in their very first All-Ireland final, spurned another goal chance in the 43rd minute.

With six minutes remaining, Cooper netted her second goal and victory was theirs.
