Three of Mark Anscombe's new signings could be set to make their competitive debuts for Ulster on Friday, when the side faces Glasgow in the RaboDirect PRO12 match.

Sean Doyle, Nick Williams and Michael Heaney have been named in the 26-man squad ahead of Friday's game at Ravenhill.

Paul Marshall, Darren Cave and Tom Court have also been included in the youthful side, which remained unbeaten in pre-season.

But Anscombe said hard work begins with their first game of the season.

"You don't get caught up in pre-season because that's all it is. You're trying combinations and trying people out.

"We got no competition points for it, so from now on it means nothing.

"We are at home and we've a good track record at home and we've got to really make sure we make it a tough night for Glasgow come Friday night," he told UTV.
