Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy finished in a tie for ninth spot at the World Golf Championship Bridgestone invitational.
The Holywood man carded a final round 69, his third in a row at the Firestone course is Akron Ohio.
He opened his account with a birdie at the par five second but gave it back straight away at the third.
A par at the fourth was followed by another bogey at the fifth but back to back threes on the next two saw him make the turn in level par.
The back nine started with promise as he birdied the tenth for the third time in the week, but a bogey at the par three 12th would cancel it out.
Three pars would follow and the week ended on a high for the Ulsterman as he birdies the par five 16th and finished with two pars to join a group of players including Padraig Harrington on five under for the week.
Graeme McDowell had a less than enjoyable final day as he carded a round of 72 to finish the week at one under par.
Both McIlroy and McDowell will head to the US PGA on Thursday to join up with Darren Clarke for the final major of the year at Whistling Straits in Chicago.
