The Antrim man was beaten by six frames to five.

Allen had put Robertson in trouble in the decider when he ran through off a red to tuck in snug behind the yellow, which was just off its spot.

The only escape route seemed to be by targeting a red handing over the top pocket, and the Australian's shot went off the cushion and down to the pocket, clipping in the red and landing on the black.

Robertson cleared up from there to seal victory and book a place in the semi finals.
