A Chinese woman has been remanded into custody after she was charged with managing a brothel in Belfast.
Appearing in the dock of Belfast Magistrates Court wearing a brown coat and jeans, Xiao Hong Kang, 40, was charged with keeping, managing or acting in the management of a brothel on 11 March 2010.
It is understood the charge arises after police and border control authorities raided a property in south Belfast last Thursday.
No bail application was lodged with the court and Kang, of no fixed address, was remanded into custody to appear again on 8 April.
