Woman on Derry murder bid charge

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after a man was assaulted in Londonderry over the weekend.

The victim suffered head injuries in the Garden City area of the city on Saturday night.
He was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Police said the 50-year-old accused will face charges of attempted murder when she appears before Londonderry Magistrates Court on Monday.
The charges are subject to review by the Public Prosecution Service.
